Suspect arrested in Vicksburg Community Schools threat

VICKSBURG, Mich. — A suspect has been arrested after a threat closed Vicksburg Community Schools Tuesday.

The school district says it canceled class out for the safety of students and staff.

No word on what the threat entailed, but a juvenile male was arrested. Vicksburg Police Chief Scott Sanderson tells FOX 17 the threat is over. Schools in the area will resume as normal starting Wednesday, though Sanderson said not to be surprised if a few extra police are seen around town, just to alleviate any concerns.

This incident comes after a student in Union City was found to be in possession of a handgun at school and multiple other school threats in Kalamazoo County.

I wish that when people are found guilty of doing this ‘little’ crime, they are sentenced to several years in jail rather than being slapped on the wrist and turned over to mommy. Until the courts start wracking these immature copy cat children it’ll never stop.
