Man’s shooting death in Albion being investigated as homicide

ALBION, Mich. — A homicide investigation is underway by Albion police after a man was shot to death early Saturday morning.

At 3:50 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a possible shooting in the 1400 block of Cooper Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound and performed first aid until an ambulance arrived.

The victim was transported to Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall where he died from the injuries.
