Whitmer, Democrats propose undoing abortion restrictions

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is joining Democratic lawmakers to support a repeal of Michigan’s abortion restrictions and regulations.

The legislation introduced Tuesday won’t advance in the Republican-led Legislature. But the Democratic governor said it’s important to advocate for the proposed Michigan Reproductive Health Act because residents “value a woman’s right to choose.”

The bills would repeal an unenforced 1931 law that bans virtually all abortions, remove a parental consent requirement and lift a 24-hour waiting period.

The legislation would reinforce abortion rights at a time states have passed restrictions conservatives hope will lead the Supreme Court to review Roe v. Wade.

Michigan anti-abortion groups are circulating petitions to significantly restrict a common second-trimester procedure and ban abortion as early as six weeks. The Legislature could bypass Whitmer and enact the measures.

Many women who’ve had abortions later wish the “choice” had never been offered to them. That is understandable as it’s diabolical to offer someone in a difficult situation a “solution” that on the surface seems easy but is in fact a terrible thing to do to an innocent person.
On top of that, if you accept Roe v. Wade, you reject science. See why at roevwadefacts.com.

Sure. But, a lot of women are too lazy or irresponsible to use them. Or, if they are worried about the outcome of their latest adventure, there’s always the morning after pill.

Actually, in no country in which contraceptives are widely available are abortion rates lower than they were before those contraceptives were introduced.

So dems want to let illegals come right on in no question asked and its ok to kill babies because most of these women are irresponsible. Sounds about right these people are morons, they should have been aborted.

It’s all about killing baby’s, this is totally demonic. It has nothing to do with a woman’s health, when are all the stupid people going to wake up and see the truth

You are not a Christian if you believe in abortion.
You are not a Christian if you believe there a more than two genders.
You are not a Christian if you support same sex marriage.
You are not a Christian if you believe homosexuality is not a sin.

I would add, though, that you don’t have to be a Christian to be pro-life. Christians, atheists, Muslims,
gay, straight, white, black, male, female, whatever—anyone can see that killing unborn babies is cruel and barbaric and has no place in a civilized society.
