GREENVILLE, Mich. (AP) — State Rep. Jim Lower on Monday announced his candidacy for the 3rd Congressional District in Western Michigan.

The announcement came two days after Justin Amash sent a series of tweets faulting President Trump and Attorney General William Barr over special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Lower, 30, of Greenville, says he made the announcement earlier than planned after Amash attacked Trump.

Lower calls himself a “pro-Trump, pro-life, pro-jobs, pro-Second Amendment, pro-family values Republican.” He is in his second term in the Michigan House after working as a legislative staffer and political consultant.

Amash, first elected in 2010, won a 2014 primary challenge.

How do I make a contribution to Mr. Lower’s campaign?
It might be a good idea for him to set up a website to receive contributions, if that is in accordence with campaign law.

I’ll send Lower a contribution. Will need to keep track of his name in the news to find his website since he just announced.

I donated to Amash opponent in 2014 because he seemed an unprincipled opportunist. It appears nothing has changed. I would support any credible opponent over this clown.

It’s too bad that Amash prefers to represent his Chinese business interests instead of those of his constituents. Amash is just another corrupt politician who looks after his own bottom line first.

Of course, it would be nice if news people could report this kind of conflict of interest, but there aren’t many actual journalists left; they support the same agenda as our corrupt politicians.

Ken, where do you think President Trump and his family have had their goods made? China. Your argument about this affecting Justin Amash is void of reason. In fact, many, many, many industries in our country depend on China for decent parts at decent prices. No, many times American Manufacturers cannot compete. What President Trump has done in creating and upping this trade war has hurt ALL OF US. You buy Chinese goods without evening knowing or acknowledging it. Walk through your home and read about its origins…then go to your closet..and car. TOSS OUT Everything with Chinese origin. Show us this dumpster when you’re finished…then look at what you have left. Your point is nonsense.

Thing do not change over night.. Trump had things built in China because we did not have some American company’s that could make the products he had. Things are coming around now that The GREAT TRUMP is in office. More Company’s are moving to the US so more things can be made here. I know this does not meet your snowflake demands of ” I Want It Now ” but Great Things Come To Those Who Wait…. We welcome you to come to the Right. Know why they call us the Right? Because we are Right about most things including where the country is heading.
        Good luck to you.

Low has my vote. Amash has accomplished zilch in 10 yrs overall office time. Now his China investment is more important than America. Throw the bum out.

Look at the pin Justin regularly wears on his lapel, it’s a Palestinian flag. Justin votes against protecting our borders yet has no problem forking out millions to protect borders of other countries, he has done next to nothing over the last 9 years, what do you call a politician who has served over 2 terms without doing anything ? You call them home. He is done and after losing he will become a foreign agent or a lobbyist.

I’m sorry, I will not support any candidate who supports the chaos in the White House right now. I’m glad Justin spoke out loud and clear. He most certainly speaks for me.

Lower’s email to which I contributed is ~ I’m from Iowa, elderly and poor, but I can find a few bucks for LOWER to help keep this TRUMP AGENDA rolling! Terry Honnold, Davenport, IA

Speaking of the Chinese, they now manufacture ALL of our antibiotics as well as many of the ge neric drugs sold in the US. That’s really scary. Recently one of their heart meds’ was found contaminated with jet fuel!! They used their slave labour to temporarily drive down the prices and undercut American drug companies to drive them out of business. I for one would pay more, since China cannot be trusted.
